Flexible Babysitter and Daycare Substitute Jobs
Need flexibility? TLC offers daily babysitting and daycare substitute assignments where you choose the shifts that work best for you.
These assignments may take place in:

Assignments may be ongoing or occasional, depending on family needs. Some positions are paid directly by the client, while others are paid through TLC payroll.

Pre-Qualify
TLC hires only the best caregivers. Our requirements include:
- age 18 or older
- high school graduate or GED equivalent
- reliable, daily transportation, a valid drivers license
- CPR and First Aid Certification for infants and children
- at least two childcare or senior-care references who are not related to you
- eligible to work in the United States
- a criminal background check

Upon completion, we help you find a great position as either a nanny, babysitter, companion, newborn caregiver, daycare staff, housekeeper or other key family support positions!
What can I expect to earn?
TLC has locations throughout the country, and earning potential will vary based upon geographic location, expertise, and requirements. The salary numbers below are representative of expected ranges.
- TLC Family Employed Nanny salaries average between $900 and $1,500+ per week for full time, plus benefits, and $20-$30 per hour for part time. Private nannies must be willing to stay with a family for a minimum of one year.
- TLC Staff Nannies for Corporate Back-Up Care (BUC) and certain events receive $17 minimum per hour through the TLC payroll. TLC Staff Nannies also receive PTO and Health Care Support.
- TLC Daycare Subs, Short-term, and Full Time Babysitters start at $17 per hour minimum, depending upon location and assignment, and are paid by either client or TLC depending on the assignments.
- TLC Newborn Care Providers receive between $20 - $30 per hour, depending upon location, experience, certification, and expertise.
