TLC for Kids Newborn Care
Bringing home a new baby is a transition for everyone. While welcoming home a new baby with hugs and love is amazing, sometimes bringing home a baby can be overwhelming. When I came home with my new babies I was overwhelmed with emotion and the needs placed on me. I was recovering from a C-Section and sleep deprived. In our house, Dad had to go back to work and I was at home taking care baby and the siblings in the house who missed being the center of attention. Help!
TLC for Kids knows this transitional period requires more help than usual, so we have two different options to help your family adjust to a new baby.
1 . Newborn Overnight Nanny. At TLC for Kids, we have caregivers who work as overnight newborn nannies. An overnight newborn nanny is a caregiver that comes to your house around bedtime and stays awake through the night (they are required to stay awake the entire time) to take care of the baby when he/she wakes up. The overnight nanny will feed the baby(or bring baby to mom for nursing), change, rock and put the baby back to sleep. This allows new parents to catch up on rest and enjoy a full night’s sleep because they know their baby is receiving the best care possible.
2. Newborn Specialist. If welcoming a new baby is harder than getting sleep at night, TLC for Kids also offers child care providers who are newborn specialists. Newborn specialists help parents in their home the first few weeks or months of baby’s life with parent education, feeding/breastfeeding, basic baby care, and light housekeeping. Newborn specialists can also help older siblings adjust to sharing mom and dad’s attention with a new baby in the house. Whether you are a seasoned mom or new to parenting, a newborn specialist is an option to help your family adjust.
